A Wedding at Twin Palms Estate: Palm Springs Celebration

When we first met Savannah & Meredith, they hadn’t officially landed on their wedding venue yet. Then they mentioned Twin Palms Estate in Palm Springs, the iconic former home of Frank Sinatra, and we were immediately intrigued.

There was no question that this wedding needed to embrace the history, character, and undeniable Palm Springs energy of the estate. But rather than simply recreate the parties Sinatra once hosted there, we wanted to take inspiration from the past and create something that felt completely personal to Savannah & Meredith.

That is the beauty of working with a luxury wedding planner who is involved from the very beginning. When your planner is part of the entire planning process, every detail has the opportunity to connect.

Creating a Through Line From Save the Date to Wedding Day

One of our favorite parts of working with Savannah & Meredith was creating a visual story that guests experienced from the very first piece of stationery.

We commissioned one of our illustrators to create custom cartoon portraits of the couple. Those illustrations first appeared on their Save the Date cards and were then carried over to their wedding website, making an early appearance long before guests ever arrived in Palm Springs.

And we didn't stop there.

The illustrations became part of their wedding weekend in unexpected ways, appearing again on custom beer koozies that guests received at the end of the wedding.

This is one of the biggest advantages of having a full production event planner: we aren't just checking boxes. We are connecting the dots.

Even latte art.

By the time guests arrived in Palm Springs, they had already been introduced to the visual language of Savannah & Meredith's wedding. Every detail felt familiar, but there was always something new to discover.

An Invitation Suite With Something to Say

We believe your invitation is more than an invitation. It is your guests' first real introduction to your wedding.

So let it say something.

Savannah & Meredith's invitation suite was timeless at first glance: thick pink cardstock with beautifully letterpressed details. But tucked inside were playful, unexpected pieces that revealed more information about the weekend.

Their RSVP card was designed as a cigar tray. A tiny green poodle revealed their wedding website URL. A martini glass shared details about the after party. And for the welcome party at Palm Springs' famous Pink Door House, guests received a charming pink door that opened to reveal all the event details.

The stationery established the tone perfectly: sophisticated, nostalgic, playful, and completely unexpected.

For us, this is what makes weddings so much fun to design. There is room to embrace the history and personality of a destination while still making the celebration entirely your own.

Welcome to Palm Springs: The Pink Door

While the final preparations were underway at Twin Palms Estate, Savannah & Meredith's guests gathered at the iconic Pink Door House for their welcome party.

The evening began with a generous charcuterie display and an ornate vintage-inspired dessert table that looked like it had been transported straight from another era.

And the desserts?

They deserved their own moment.

Jello cakes, croquembouches, a poodle cake, ambrosia, and more brought the nostalgia of the 1960s to life. It was playful, abundant, and perfectly suited for a wedding weekend inspired by one of Palm Springs' most iconic eras.

As guests enjoyed the welcome party, our team was busy bringing every detail of the wedding day together at Twin Palms Estate.

Five Rental Companies. One Cohesive Wedding.

One of the most intentional aspects of Savannah & Meredith's wedding was the way every rental item was selected.

In total, we worked with five different rental companies, each bringing something specific to the overall design. One rental company was brought in specifically for vintage champagne coupes that guests would receive upon arrival.

When you have this many moving parts, the details don't simply come together on their own.

Load-in schedules need to be coordinated. Multiple vendors need to communicate with one another. Deliveries need to happen within the venue's parameters. And at a residential property like Twin Palms Estate, the neighborhood's curfew and logistical restrictions need to be respected.

This is where having an experienced event planner makes a difference.

Because we had been involved with Savannah & Meredith from the beginning, we understood the vision, knew the vendors, managed the communication, and could make sure all of the individual pieces arrived exactly where and when they needed to.

Five rental companies may sound like five separate pieces of the puzzle.

Our job was to make it look like one.

A Wedding Design That Used Every Corner of Twin Palms Estate

For the wedding day, we wanted guests to experience as much of Twin Palms Estate as possible.

Instead of keeping everyone in one area, we designed the celebration to move throughout the property.

Guests entered on the pool side of the home, where the ceremony was set on the grass just outside the bridal suite.

After the ceremony, everyone naturally transitioned toward the pool for cocktail hour.

Specialty cocktails were served alongside custom monogrammed napkins as guests relaxed and enjoyed the Palm Springs sunshine.

Then came the surprise.

Cue the Synchronized Swimmers

As guests sipped their cocktails, synchronized swimmers entered the pool area in perfect unison.

Frank Sinatra's “LA Is My Lady” began playing.

It was theatrical, unexpected, and exactly the kind of moment we hoped to create when we first heard the words Twin Palms Estate.

We can only imagine that this is precisely how Frank intended his pool to be used decades later.

The performance was a nod to the home's history without feeling like a reenactment. It was a completely new memory created for Savannah & Meredith.

And then the party moved again.

Dinner, Dancing & Dessert

Once the swimmers concluded their performance, guests were guided through the house and out onto the infamous round driveway.

There, the next chapter of the evening unfolded.

Tables were beautifully arranged around an abundance of food stations featuring an elevated collection of nostalgic favorites: sliders, French fries, chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs with caviar and potato chips, mini Beef Wellingtons, and more.

The goal was never simply to serve dinner.

It was to create an experience that felt generous, playful, and true to the spirit of the weekend.

From there, the energy continued through the house and back toward the pool.

Two custom wedding cakes and a champagne tower waited for guests as the night continued with dancing, celebrating, and plenty of Palm Springs magic.

And Then Came the Dirty Shirleys

Of course, we couldn't let the night end without one more surprise.

Before guests headed off to the after party, they received a custom beer koozie featuring the same cartoon illustration of Savannah & Meredith that had first appeared on their Save the Dates.

And inside?

An ice-cold Dirty Shirley to take along for the after party.

It was one of our favorite details of the entire wedding.

Why?

Because it brought the story full circle.

An illustration created at the very beginning of the planning process had made its way through the Save the Dates, onto the wedding website, and finally into the hands of guests at the end of the wedding night.

The Magic of Full-Production Event Planning

Savannah & Meredith's Twin Palms Estate wedding is the perfect example of why we believe in full-production event planning.

When we are involved from the beginning, we don't just coordinate a wedding day. We learn the couple, understand their vision, build the design, communicate with vendors, manage logistics, oversee production, and find opportunities to connect seemingly small details into one cohesive experience.
